Hampton Inn Raleigh/Clayton I-40

Sandra went above and beyond to help me with my luggage and gave me a list of great places to visit. She really made my stay wonderful.

What a wonderful staff!! A big thank you to the night shift staff!! I arrived at 4 am. After driving for over 13 hours, exhausted & in need of a nice, clean room in a safe dog friendly hotel. After being⁰ rudely turned away by a very sleepy night shift manager (who was obviously annoyed that I woke her up while she was "working") at another popular supposedly dog & people friendly hotel. I was completely distraught. Turned out that it was all for the best! I called Hampton Inn Raleigh & was greeted by a fully awake, very happy, friendly, and helpful young lady! She truly put a smile back on my face, made me feel welcome & a lot less nervous. What a wonderful experience! On a Holiday weekend to boot! By the time I got there, checked in & chatted with her for a bit. A nice hot breakfast was being prepared & served. The hotel & room were very clean and comfortable! The day shift was just as nice! Highly recommend!

We LOVE this hotel! It’s clean, safe, and the staff is absolutely fantastic. They are so kind and friendly and very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The staff was also kind to recommend places around here to explore and try out, and we always enjoyed the recommendations. Excellent place to stay!!!

Room was nice and looked updated. Breakfast was good but they were so busy that they kept running out of hot food.

Everyone at this hotel is amazing! From Neely, who kept the breakfast area spotless and well-stocked, to Cece, Janicia, and Sandra at the front desk, all so welcoming and full of great hospitality. A special thanks to Carmen for keeping my room perfectly clean. And not to forget, the General Manager Robin, truly wonderful leadership! I highly recommend this hotel, the cleanliness and service go above and beyond!

We recently spent a night at this Hampton Inn during a long journey. Like most Hampton Inns, the service, staff, and accommodations were excellent. For this review, I want to commend one person in particular. Her name is Kaitlyn, and she is a recent addition to the front desk staff. During the evening of our stay, Kaitlyn was on duty. After I had gone out for something to eat, I returned and (for no apparent reason) parked my car in a spot that just happened to be within sight of the front desk. About 2 to 3 hours after I returned, the room phone rang, but we didn't answer it, thinking, "who would be calling us here?" A few minutes later, we heard persistent knocking at our room door. Not expecting anyone, I looked through the security peephole and saw a Hampton employee. When I opened the door, Kaitlyn asked me if we had a car with Maine license plates. When I replied yes, she told me that she noticed that I had left my car lights on. So, I immediately went down to turn the lights off. There is no doubt whatsoever that Kaitlyn provided an invaluable service by taking the time and trouble to look through the list of guests to determine who the car with Maine plates belonged to and then notifying us. Her actions helped prevent a dead car battery and certainly prevented a serious delay in our travel plans. We are deeply grateful that Kaitlyn went "above and beyond" in her duties and responsibilities. Thank you, Kaitlyn!!!

Staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms are neat and very clean. Had no issues at all. It was actually very quiet.

It's a nice place, nothing special by any means. I stay here a few times a year. It's always clean and welcoming. Rooms could use a comfortable chair for sitting but that's about it. My dealings with staff is minimal as I use digital check in. A nice hot breakfast is always available. Beds are comfortable. Easy to access location off 40 with plenty of fast food nearby.
